Herbert Paus (1880 - 1946)
Original color lithographic poster, United States 1918. Condition: Fine (B+) , backed on linen.
Sheet size: 28 H. X 1905 W.
Interestingly, with the United States' entrance into World War I, private industry saw an opportunity to profit by producing propaganda that encouraged patriotism. One example was the RCA Records Company. The company established the label "RCA Victor Records" that produced patriotic songs and music that encouraged national loyalty and support of the war.

In Herbertt Paus' advertisement for RCA, he depicts bold heroic images urging Americans to show their loyalty and support by "coming in" and listening to the Patriotic Victor Records
